Ashley Wilburn, a native of Hagerstown, Maryland, proudly comes from North Hagerstown High School, where she completed her secondary education. Ashley Wilburn's legal practice is centered around family law. She has a passion for it. She focuses a majority of her work on divorce cases, alimony disputes divorce property distribution child custody battles child support arrangements, postnuptial and prenuptial agreements, post-divorce enforcement and issues as well as step-parent and private party adoptions as well as concerns about child welfare. Ashley has been a mediator appointed by the court since the year 2019. She helps parties resolve their disputes without the necessity of litigation or court involvement. In addition to mediation mandated by the court, Ashley also mediates in private matters for those who wish to avoid the court process and litigation.

Ashley completed her undergraduate studies in History and Politics at Loyola University of Maryland. She continued her legal education at Western New England University School of Law. She graduated in 2013 and was placed among the top 10 students of her class. Ashley was a Note Editor for the Western New England Law Review during her time in law school. This demonstrates her dedication to scholarship and legal research.

Ashley began her clerkship career after she completed her law degree. She worked for renowned jurists from Connecticut and Maryland. She had the honor of serving as a law clerk for the Honorable Richard A. Robinson and the Honorable Elliott D. Prescott at the Connecticut Appellate Court. In 2014, she returned to Hagerstown, Maryland, to work as an attorney for the Honorable M. Kenneth Long, Washington County Circuit Court. Ashley joined Poole & Kane P.A. in 2015 as an associate attorney. as an associate attorney. Her primary focus was representing the Washington County Department of Social Services in matters related to child welfare. Through her dedication, Ashley played a vital role in assisting children who had suffered neglect or abuse at the from their parents or caregivers. Her commitment to tackling social injustice extended beyond her legal career as she served as an active member of the Washington County Human Trafficking Task Force. She worked tirelessly to increase awareness about human trafficking within the tri-state region.

In 2017, she was a founding member at Kane, Wilburn & Stone, P.A., and developed her expertise in family law, including divorce, custody and child maintenance, as well as guardianships and financial and estate planning - wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance directives/healthcare proxy and mediation.

Ashley created Wilburn Law Office, LLC, in 2023, with an intention to provide a personalized approach to every client's needs.
